Ever wondered how can you get UDID of your iPhone ?

Let me guide you through the process of finding your iPhone’s unique identifier, step by step.

Step 1: Connect Your iPhone to Your Mac

First things first, grab your trusty Mac and connect your iPhone to it using a lightning cable. Make sure everything’s snug and secure before moving on to the next step.

Step 2: Navigate to  -> About This Mac

Now, direct your attention to the top-left corner of your Mac screen. You’ll see the iconic Apple logo, so go ahead and click on it. A dropdown menu will appear — select “About This Mac” from the list.

Step 3: Click on System Report and Select USB

A window will pop up, revealing a trove of information about your Mac. Look for and click on the “System Report” button. This will open up a new window with detailed specs and configurations. On the left-hand side, under the “Hardware” section, you’ll find “USB.” Click on it to unveil a list of connected USB devices.

Step 4: Click on iPhone

Scroll through the list until you spot your iPhone. It should be listed as one of the connected USB devices. Click on it to reveal more information about your beloved device.

Step 5: Copy the Value Next to the Serial Number Label

Here’s where things get interesting. You’ll see various details about your iPhone, including its Serial Number. Copy the value next to the Serial Number label — this is a crucial piece of the puzzle.

Step 6: Paste the Value You Just Copied

Now, open up your favorite text editor or simply a blank document. Paste the value you just copied from the System Report window. This string of characters is the foundation of your iPhone’s UUID.

Step 7: Add a Dash (-) After the 8th Digit

Here comes the final touch to unlock your iPhone’s UUID. Count eight characters into the string you pasted and add a dash (-) after the eighth digit. This step is crucial for formatting purposes.

Step 8: Your UDID Is Ready

Voilà! You’ve done it. The string of characters you now see before you, with a dash inserted after the eighth digit, is your iPhone’s UUID — a unique identifier that distinguishes your device from all others.

Sample Format: XXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Congratulations! You’ve successfully unveiled the mysterious UUID of your iPhone. Now you can use this identifier for various purposes, from development tasks to troubleshooting and beyond. So go forth, armed with this newfound knowledge, and explore the endless possibilities that await you and your iPhone.
